FORGE Celebrates Women In Construction Week
March 6-12 has been dedicated to Women in Construction #WICWEEK2022 #womeninconstruction To celebrate FORGE members visited East Side Elementary and West Clay Elementary and read “The House That She Built” by Mollie Elkman, introducing children to female construction workers and trades done by women.
The FORGE Foundation finished its day by testing the children’s knowledge of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and levelers. The FORGE Foundation is excited to be getting into the schools and showing children that both genders can do construction changing the workforce of the future in our community and changing a little girl’s perception early! #thehousethatshebuilt #shebuiltbook #makingtradescoolagain
