FORGE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting skilled trades and advancing career readiness across Mississippi, is proud to announce the creation of the FORGE Golden Triangle Chapter.
Since its founding in 2018, FORGE has engaged thousands of students across the Golden Triangle Region through impactful programs such as the FORGE Your Path Career Expo, Career Interview Day, and Girls Construction Camp. FORGE also supports industry professionals through the Construction Leadership Summit, a gathering designed to strengthen leadership and collaboration within Mississippi’s construction sector.
The establishment of the Golden Triangle Chapter ensures that these efforts will continue to grow and thrive at the local level. It also reflects a larger movement underway: FORGE is in the process of building a statewide chapter system, giving communities across Mississippi the structure and support needed to replicate successful programs while tailoring them to local needs.
By expanding chapters, FORGE is creating a network of regional hubs—each dedicated to connecting education, industry, and families—while strengthening the state’s workforce pipeline from the ground up.
The chapter is already diligently preparing for its next major initiative—the 6th Annual FORGE Your Path Career Expo, scheduled for October 22–23, 2025. This two-day event will bring together more than 2,200 eighth-grade students from 28 schools across 10 counties, offering them hands-on experiences with industry professionals and career pathways that are shaping Mississippi’s future workforce.
We’re grateful for the individuals from each of the following companies who serve on our new Golden Triangle Chapter Board of Directors. Their leadership and expertise will guide the planning of FORGE events here in the region, ensuring strong connections between our schools, industry partners, and students.
“FORGE began right here in the Golden Triangle, and this chapter represents the next step in securing a strong future for our region’s workforce,” said Melinda Lowe, Executive Director of FORGE. “With the support of these outstanding industry leaders, we are confident this chapter will continue inspiring students, strengthening industry connections, and building a brighter future for Mississippi.”
As FORGE’s statewide chapter system continues to grow, the Golden Triangle Chapter will serve as a model for community-driven partnerships that both connect young people to high demand career pathways and empower construction industry leaders to shape the workforce of tomorrow.
